It is impossible to dissociate Haute Couture from Paris. Born in Paris in the mid nineteenth century, Haute Couture have made of Paris the capital of sophistication and social pleasures, an uncontested status which the city still enjoys.
Organized by the Town Hall with the support of Swarovski, this Haute Couture exhibition brings together 100 dresses from prestigious collections of the Musée Galliera, as well as drawings and shots depicting the entire process from creating, designing to the parade.
The biggest fashion houses tell about their path through their creations, Charles Frederick Worth to Dior through Elsa Schiaparelli, Lanvin, Chanel, Poiret, Balenciaga and Christian Lacroix.
